Lead Rains of Gaza

By Israel Shamir

A war is coming – I was forewarned some weeks ago by a most unlikely expert on the subject, an old fisherman called “Charlie”. We sat at a small cafĂ© by the Sea of Galilee and looked at the dry mud where the sweet waters of the lake used to rollick, at its waterline, which has now receded like Charlie’s hairline; we gazed at the old signs forbidding swimming that now stick out hundreds of yards away from the lake. Drought is always a harbinger of war, said Charlie (whose real name is Ghassan but he prefers this movie-inspired nickname). The last drought was in the year 2000, and the Intifada broke out; he continued. The worst drought in a century has now brought the lake to its lowest level since Christ walked on it, as if the land is trying to get rid of human pestilence by starving it off, while men pour out their blood to pacify its angry spirits.

Water is a synonym for compassion in our arid land, and we are perilously short of both. The wells are dry, and the springs in the mountains have all but perished. For no rain of water, rain of lead – molten or cast – will come. The old fisherman’s prediction proved to be right, and there was a war, the Childermas War, for it started on the commemoration day for the innocent children slain by Herod at Bethlehem.

In the course of eight hundred years, from William of Norwich to rise of Zionism, the Jews have been accused (and sometimes found guilty) of murdering just over a hundred children, and they vigorously denied every one of these accusations; they spent millions denying the murder of al-Durra. But during the past three weeks alone they have openly killed some four hundred babies and children, and many (including Caiaphas’ successor) still crave for more. I envisage a promo campaign with bright ads showing a Palestinian baby and logo: “For just $100 contributed to Israel at our synagogue you can have this future antisemite killed. All donations are tax-exempt”.

A professional child killer, Captain R, would make a career under Herod. He commanded a battalion in Gaza doing what he is good at: In 1994, he murdered a 13-year old Palestinian girl, Iman, by pulverising her little body with some 20 bullets as she lay on the ground. We should kill even three year old children, too, he said to his soldiers. A military court actually gave him some $20,000 as an encouragement bonus, and he was promoted to the rank of major. He enjoyed coming back to Gaza, he told Maariv newspaper.

Women were killed, too, by soldiers sent by their Israeli sister Tsipi Livni. The BBC reported they called out civilians to leave their houses, women first, white flags a-waving. When some simple-minded Arabs did so, the Jews gave a hearty laugh and shot the women carrying the white flags.

In Israeli media, it’s Jews who were the victims. If they had no wounded to parade, they will show the scared faces of their women, or pity themselves for having to kill Palestinian children. In a clever move, they banned media from entering Gaza, and hundreds of photographers and correspondents hanged around nearby Sderot. Out of this forced inaction, they described the Jewish “victims of shock”, photographed a ruined shed, and sent pieces called “Israel braces for Hamas revenge”. Victimhood becomes Israel – even while killing others, the Jews bewail their bitter fate.

“Do not call it “war”, this is massacre”, wrote Angie Tibbs; but it’s still a war, for the Gaza fighters prefer to see it this way. They are not fishing for anyone's pity. The Gazans are short of weapons, they are no match for the most powerful army in the region, they are not even well-trained fighters like their brothers from South Lebanon, but they are stubborn.

I offered to help a Gazan friend obtain visa and residency in Europe. He refused: our parents, he wrote, ran away from Askalon in 1948, I grew up in Gaza; nothing will force me to leave Palestine. The Gazans have got to be stubborn for they have survived the worst conditions possible. They are a product of an inhuman Zionist lab: they have been bombed by Israel for some sixty years, with short breaks. They do not value their lives overmuch. Israel can’t frighten them anymore. If they don’t submit to Israel’s demands, Israel may bite its moustache and growl, like Hitler in Mel Brooks’ Producers: “No Mr. Nice Guy next time!” That’s about it. The Gazans have the proud spirit of Masada – after all, they ARE the descendants of those ancient Hebrews. Great fighters they are not, but their character is exceedingly strong. Jews make a mistake taking them for granted.

The Jews declared a ceasefire unilaterally, shying away from any agreement. Unilateralists to a boot, the Jews follow Ben Gurion’s slogan “Lo Hashuv Ma Yagidu HaGoyim” (“Who cares what the goyim say?”). Actually, Ben Gurion was only repeating Numbers 23:9 with its “Bagoyim lo yithashev”. The King James Bible translates it (correctly) as “they won’t be counted among the nations”, but every Israeli will translate this verse to you as “the Jews do not give a damn about goyim”. They unilaterally left Gaza and unilaterally entered Gaza, one-sidedly bombed and one-sidedly stopped bombing – too much hubris for one small country, even if its prime minister can make President Bush cry u-n-c-l-e. This unilateralism shows that they do not consider the other side as being fully human. As a reply to Olmert’s declaration of unilateral ceasefire Hamas sent an equally unilateral rocket to Beer Sheba.

Eventually the cease fire set in, after the Hamas government let fly a few rockets to show their remaining ability and gave the Jews one week to get out of Gaza and lift the blockade.

In Israel, there is a feeling that enough is enough. Even Ari Shavit, an ex-Leftie born-again-proud Jew and Ha'aretz columnist, who was clamoring for more war just a few days ago, has now had enough blood. He feels satisfied - the UN headquarters have been bombed, mosques collapsed on worshippers’ heads, university and schools have been ruined – the job is done, the boys can come home. The Zionist-left party Meretz also decided to come to the side of peace. The declared Israeli goal of unseating Hamas or eliminating its ability to shoot rockets has not been reached.

So, what was the reason for this mass murder? Pundits were divided into schools of high and low expectation: the high expected Israel to attack Iran, to bomb Lebanon, to exterminate the Gaza population or send tsunami waves of Gaza refugees into Egypt. The low saw in this operation a regular, if beefed up, bombardment of Gaza (something Israel has been doing routinely since 1955), attuned to Israeli elections and timed just before the US change of guard. It seems that the second reading is closer to reality. The Israeli leaders have no idea what to do – they have weapons, and they can kill, but beyond that, they are short of vision.

Certainly unintentionally, the high-expectation school actually helped Israel to do its black deeds. Iranians and Lebanese sat on their hands waiting for the storm to come; Palestinians were afraid of mass expulsions and massacres. There were real reasons for their lack of response, beyond spin. The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) of Mahmud Abbas is fully collaborating with Israel. At midnight, PNA police leave the streets of Nablus and Ramallah to the Israeli Army and Shabak (the secret police of the Jewish state), which freely roam and arrest activists and militants – sometimes according to direct info provided by the PNA. Now people under the PNA are afraid to demonstrate, while even under the direct military rule of Israel they never were.

The Palestinian citizens of Israel also have not protested much – the shock of being massacred in October 2000 has not worn off. Moreover, Israeli police have been out in strength everywhere – in my Jaffa there was a police car at every crossing, and a platoon of crack troops on every street. The anger just accumulated, waiting to break out, but it never did. Iran and Hezbollah also did nothing as well, being scared by the American threat.

Thus, Israel had the situation totally under its control. The Egypt of Mubarak is a full partner of Israel, while the PNA of Abbas is an obedient servant; Iran, Syria and Lebanon are scared, Jordan is aloof. The US is as obedient as the PNA, even more so: a Palestinian parliament would never approve the declarations the US Congress did. Despite these wonderful starting conditions, Israel failed: politically the Gaza war has achieved nothing. The war was flop.

The Middle East is back to its impasse, and Israel is in a worse position than it was three weeks ago. The Gaza leadership took a daring if calculated risk when they refused to extend the lapsed ceasefire agreement unless the Jews lift the siege off the Strip. After the war and its casualties, it seems that Hamas has remained in power and at large in devastated Gaza. Moreover, Hamas will get what it wanted: the siege will be lifted. But Israel will get nothing it couldn’t have gotten without this massive killing. American promise to keep Gaza defenceless could have been obtained without a single shot, with one phone call.

The international reputation of Israel is now at its lowest ebb. Even traditional Jewish defence, screaming about ‘antisemites’, has lost its charm. The word ‘holocaust’ is now more frequently applied to Gaza than to Auschwitz. The Germans are guilty, people murmur, of not doing their job thoroughly enough. Joseph Massad drew the comparison between Gaza and the Warsaw Ghetto. Surely that is an antisemitic canard. How can you compare the two?! The Germans lost 16 soldiers during the Ghetto suppression, while the Jews have lost only 10 in the Gaza cleansing.

The war has solved nothing, not for Israel, neither for Palestinians. This is the time for a full U-turn in politics. Neither side can win, they can both only lose. Separation is impossible, so we have to live together, and we better enjoy it.

Actually life was better ten years ago, before the second intifada, I told Charlie.

Life was even better fifteen years ago, before the Oslo agreements, he answered.

Life was even better before the first intifada, said I – there were no check posts, and one could go freely from Gaza to Jaffa. One could go to any village and return the same day. The younger men looked at the older ones seeking confirmation: is it true? Could it be that the life in our country was ever so wonderful that one could travel freely? That a boy from Tul Karem could actually go for a swim in the sea? That a boy from Gaza could come and see a movie in Tel Aviv? Yes, confirmed Charlie for the benefit of the youth. Life was glorious in the late sixties, soon after the Israeli conquest, before the Jewish land grab, before the process of separation between Jews and Palestinians started its perilous run.

Now, in February, there is a conference for One State scheduled in Geneva. It is a small affair, but only because of lack of support. With your massive support we still can change things for the better, integrate Gaza, give every Palestinian full rights, including the right to vote for parliament–Knesset.

If it should happen, even the rains will come back and the dry riverbeds of Negev will run again full of water. As a sign of this promise, today, on this feast of the Baptism of Our Lord the priests of our church blessed the waters in River Jordan and in the sea of Jaffa. For this war did begin at Childermass and ended on the blessed Epiphany.

Gaza is The Warsaw Ghetto

George Galloway condemns the "pathetic" "puppet" Arab leaders and compares the "ineffectual" but essential Palestinian resistance in Gaza to the Jewish resistance against the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.

"The Palestinians have a choice of dying quietly of hunger and disease on their knees, or deciding to die noisily on their feet. It's an age-old dilemma, and it was faced most comparably by the Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto, who were locked up in a ghetto by the Nazi occupiers of Poland and were systematically starved to death..."

The photos in the video show the current 2009 Israeli bombardment of Gaza alongside photos of Jewish civilians and Nazi soldiers in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.

The audio is an excerpt from George Galloway's talkshow on Talksport Radio, recorded 2 January 2009. George Galloway's show is aired live online every Friday and Saturday night 10pm - 1am GMT:

Israel Poisoned/Radiated 100,000 Sefardi Jewish Children in 1951

On August 14, at 9 PM, Israeli television station, Channel Ten, broke all convention and exposed the ugliest secret of Israel's Labor Zionist founders; the deliberate mass radiation poisoning of nearly all Sephardi youths.

The expose began with the presentation of a documentary film called, 100,000 Radiations, and concluded with a panel discussion moderated by TV host Dan Margalit, surprising because he is infamous for toeing the establishment line.

Film Details:

100,000 Radiations, released by Dimona Productions Ltd. in 2003.

Producer - Dudi Bergman Directors - Asher Khamias, David Balrosen

Panel Discussion Participants

A Moroccan singer was joined by David Edri, head of the Compensation Committee for Ringworm X-Ray Victims, and Boaz Lev, a spokesman for the Ministry Of Health.

Subject:

In 1951, the director general of the Israeli Health Ministry, Dr. Chaim Sheba flew to America and returned with 7 x-ray machines, supplied to him by the American army.

They were to be used in a mass atomic experiment with an entire generation of Sephardi youths to be used as guinea pigs. Every Sephardi child was to be given 35,000 times the maximum dose of x-rays through his head. For doing so, the American government paid the Israeli government 300,000 Israeli liras a year. The entire Health budget was 60,000 liras. The money paid by the Americans is equivalent to billions of dollars today.

To fool the parents of the victims, the children were taken away on "school trips" and their parents were later told the x-rays were a treatment for the scourge of scalpal ringworm. 6,000 of the children died shortly after their doses were given, the many of the rest developed cancers that killed them over time and are still killing them now. While living, the victims suffered from disorders such as epilepsy, amnesia, Alzheimer's disease, chronic headaches and psychosis.

Yes, that is the subject of the documentary in cold terms. It is another matter to see the victims on the screen. ie. To watch the Moroccan lady describe what getting 35,000 times the dose of allowable x-rays in her head feels like.

"I screamed make the headache go away. Make the headache go away. Make the headache go away. But it never went away."

To watch the bearded man walk hunched down the street.

"I'm in my fifties and everyone thinks I'm in my seventies. I have to stoop when I walk so I won't fall over. They took my youth away with those x-rays."

To watch the old lady who administered the doses to thousands of children.

"They brought them in lines. First their heads were shaved and smeared in burning gel. Then a ball was put between their legs and the children were ordered not to drop it, so they wouldn't move. The children weren't protected over the rest of their bodies. There were no lead vests for them. I was told I was doing good by helping to remove ringworm. If I knew what dangers the children were facing, I would never have cooperated. Never!"

Because the whole body was exposed to the rays, the genetic makeup of the children was often altered, affecting the next generation. We watch the woman with the distorted face explain, "All three of my children have the same cancers my family suffered. Are you going to tell me that's a coincidence?"

Everyone notices that Sephardi women in their fifties today, often have sparse patchy hair, which they try to cover with henna. Most of us assumed it was just a characteristic of Sephardi women. We watch the woman on the screen wearing a baseball-style hat. She places a picture of a lovely young teenager with flowing black hair opposite the lens. "That was me before my treatment. Now look at me." She removes her hat. Even the red henna can't cover the horrifying scarred bald spots.

The majority of the victims were Moroccan because they were the most numerous of the Sephardi immigrants. The generation that was poisoned became the country's perpetual poor and criminal class. It didn't make sense. The Moroccans who fled to France became prosperous and highly educated. The common explanation was that France got the rich, thus smart ones. The real explanation is that every French Moroccan child didn't have his brain cells fried with gamma rays.

The film made it perfectly plain that this operation was no accident. The dangers of x-rays had been known for over forty years. We read the official guidelines for x-ray treatment in 1952.

The maximum dose to be given a child in Israel was .5 rad. There was no mistake made. The children were deliberately poisoned. David Deri, makes the point that only Sephardi children received the x-rays.

"I was in class and the men came to take us on a tour. They asked our names. The Ashkenazi children were told to return to their seats. The dark children were put on the bus."

The film presents a historian who first gives a potted history of the eugenics movement. In a later sound bite, he declares that the ringworm operation was a eugenics program aimed at weeding out the perceived weak strains of society. The film now quotes two noted anti-Sephardi racist Jewish leaders, Nahum Goldmann and Levi Eshkol.

Goldmann spent the Holocaust years first in Switzerland, where he made sure few Jewish refugees were given shelter, then flew to New York to become head of the World Jewish Congress headed by Samuel Bronfman. According to Canadian writer Mordecai Richler, Bronfman had cut a deal with Prime Minister Mackenzie King to prevent the immigration of European Jews to Canada.

But Levi Eshkol's role in the Holocaust was far more minister than merely not saving lives. He was busy taking them instead. From a biography of Levi Eshkol from the Israeli government web site:

"In 1937 Levi Eshkol played a central role in the establishment of the Mekorot Water Company and in this role was instrumental in convincing the German government to allow Jews emigrating to Palestine to take with them some of their assets - mostly in the form of German-made equipment."

While world Jewry was boycotting the Nazi regime in the '30s, the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem was propping up Hitler. A deal, called The Transfer Agreement, was cut whereby the Nazis would chase Germany's Jews to Palestine, and the Labor Zionists would force the immigrants to use their assets to buy only German goods. Once the Jewish Agency got the German Jews it wanted, those they secretly indoctrinated in the anti-Judaism of Shabtai Tzvi and Jacob Frank, they let the Nazis take care of the rest of European Jewry. The Holocaust was a eugenics program and Levi Eshkol played a major role in it.

The Moroccan lady is back on the screen. "It was a Holocaust, a Sephardi Holocaust. And what I want to know is why no one stood up to stop it."

David Deri, on film and then as a panel member, relates the frustration he encountered when trying to find his childhood medical records.

"All I wanted to know was what they did to me. I wanted to know who authorized it. I wanted to trace the chain of command. But the Health Ministry told me my records were missing."

Boaz Lev, the Health Ministry's spokesman chimes in, "Almost all the records were burned in a fire."

So, let us help Mr. Deri trace the chain of command. But now I must intrude myself in the review.

About six years ago, I investigated the kidnapping of some 4500, mostly Yemenite immigrant infants and children, during the early years of the state. I met the leader of the Yemenite children's movement, Rabbi Uzi Meshulum, imprisoned for trying to get the truth out. He was later returned home in a vegetative state from which he has not emerged. He told me that the kidnapped children were sent to America to die cruelly in nuclear experiments.

The American government had banned human testing and needed guinea pigs. The Israeli government agreed to supply the humans in exchange for money and nuclear secrets. The initiator of Israel's nuclear program was Defence Ministry director-general Shimon Peres.

Rabbi David Sevilia of Jerusalem corroborated the crime and later, I even saw photos of the radiation scars on the few surviving children, and the cages the infants were shipped to America in.

Just over five years ago I published my belief on the internet, that Israel's Labor Zionist founders had conducted atomic experiments on Yemenite and other Sephardi children, killing thousands of them. Almost three years ago, I published the same assertion in my last book, Save Israel!. I suffered much scorn for doing so. However, I was right.

We return to the documentary. We are told that a US law in the late '40s put a stop to the human radiation experiments conducted on prisoners, the mentally feeble and the like. The American atomic program needed a new source of human lab rats and the Israeli government supplied it.

Here was the government cabinet at the time of the ringworm atrocities:

Prime Minister - David Ben Gurion Finance Minister - Eliezer Kaplan Settlement Minister - Levi Eshkol Foreign Minister - Moshe Sharrett Health Minister - Yosef Burg Labor Minister - Golda Meir Police Minister - Amos Ben Gurion

The highest ranking non-cabinet post belonged to the Director General Of The Defence Ministry, Shimon Peres.

That a program involving the equivalent of billions of dollars of American government funds should be unknown to the Prime Minister of cash-strapped Israel is ridiculous. Ben Gurion was in on the horrors and undoubtedly chose his son to be Police Minister in case anyone interfered with them.

Now let's have a quick glance at the other plotters, starting with the Finance Minister Eliezer Kaplan. He handled the profits of the operation and was rewarded for eternity with a hospital named after him near Rehovot. But he's not alone in this honor.

The racist bigot Chaim Sheba, who ran Ringworm Incorporated, had a whole medical complex named after him. Needless to say, if there is an ounce of decency in the local medical profession, those hospital names will have to change.

Then there is Yosef Burg, who the leaders of the Yemenite Children's movement insist was the most responsible for the kidnappings of their infants. As Health Minister, he certainly played a pivotal role in the Ringworm murders. That would go a great way to explaining the peculiar behavior of his son, the peacemaker, Avraham Burg.

Let us not forget Moshe Sharrett, who had Rabbi Yoel Brand arrested in Aleppo in 1944 for proposing a practical way to save 800,000 Jews trapped in Hungary. Sharrett's most cited quote is, "If Shimon Peres ever enters this government, I will tear my clothes and start to mourn." Several Yemenite Children activists told me Sharrett was referring to the kidnapping of the Yemenite children when he made this statement.

And other amateur historians have told me that Levi Eshkol openly and proudly announced his belief in the tenets of Shabtai Tzvi, but try as I have, I haven't tracked down a citation. However, we do know of Eshkol, that during the period of the radiations, he served first as Settlement Minister, then took over from Kaplan as Finance Minister. From his bio:

"In 1951 Eshkol was appointed Minister of Agriculture and Development, and from 1952 to 1963 - a decade characterized by unprecedented economic growth despite the burden of financing immigrant absorption and the 1956 Sinai Campaign - he served as Minister of Finance. Between 1949 and 1963, Eshkol also served as head of the settlement division of the Jewish Agency. In the first four years of statehood, he was also treasurer of the Jewish Agency, largely responsible for obtaining the funds for the country's development, absorption of the massive waves of immigrants and equipment for the army."

In short, Eshkol was the person most responsible for Israel's immigrants, the ones he sent to radiation torture chambers. Finally, there is Golda Meir. We don't know her role, but she was in on the secret and rewarded for it. Note that every prime minister thereafter until 1977, when the honorable Menachem Begin was elected, came from this cabal. And note also, that no one from what is called the Right today, was privy to the slaughter of the Sephardi children.

Apply that lesson to a contemporary fact: It is the descendants of these butchers who brought us the Oslo "peace" and are determined to wipe out the settlers of Judea, Samaria and Gaza as surely as they had dealt with the inferior dark Jews who came into their clutches fifty years before. Now try and imagine it is 1952 and you are in a cabinet meeting. You will be debating whether to send the Yemenite babies to America for their final zapping, or whether to have them zapped here. That is what the Luciferian, satanic Sabbataian founders of our nation were prattling on about when they got together to discuss the affairs of state.

After the film ended, TV host Dan Margalit tried to put a better face on what he'd witnessed. Any face had to be better than what he had seen. He explained meekly, "But the state was poor. It was a matter of day to day survival." Then he stopped. He knew there was no excusing the atrocities the Sephardi children endured.

But it was the Moroccan singer who summed up the experience best. "It's going to hurt, but the truth has to be told. If not, the wounds will never heal."

There is one person alive who knows the truth and participated in the atrocities. He is Leader Of The Opposition Shimon Peres, the peacemaker. The only way to get to the truth and start the healing is to investigate him for his role in the kidnapping of 4500 Yemenite infants and the mass poisoning of over 100,000 Sephardi children and youths.

But here is why that won't happen. It is a miracle that 100,000 Radiations was broadcast at all. Clearly though, someone fought for it but had to agree to a compromise. The show was aired at the same time as the highest-rated show of the year, the final of Israel's, A Star Is Born. The next day, there was not a word about 100,000 Radiations in any paper, but the newly-born star's photo took up half the front pages.

That's how the truth is buried in Israel, and somehow, these tricks work. The same methods were used to cover up the Rabin assassination.

However, a few hundred thousand people saw the film on their screens and they will never forget the truth. If the Rabin assassination doesn't bury Labor Zionism for good, then 100,000 Radiations eventually will.

The Power of AIPAC: Who Runs America

Not many Americans know anything about the hideous barbarity in Gaza, because US cable networks and newspapers rarely carry pictures of disfigured blood-splashed children who have been killed, maimed or orphaned by the Israelis, says Brian Cloughley.

Winston Churchill and Franklin Roosevelt were pretty close, politically and personally. They led the fight against fascism in the early 1940s, and although they had their disagreements they got on very well. They were both blunt in expressing their views, but there was no doubt who was the more powerful : Roosevelt called the shots, although Churchill had a lot of influence on him. But it would have been unthinkable for Churchill to have behaved in the way that the present (though not for long) prime minister of Israel did with the present (though not for long) president of the United States.

Prime minister Olmert of Israel, who has been forced to stand down because of allegations of corruption, telephoned President Bush to make the latter alter his orders to his Secretary of State to support a mild resolution in the UN Security Council that called for a ceasefire in Gaza. The barely believable transcript of Olmert's boasting of his success is on public record. He said:

"I [Olmert] spoke with him [Bush]; I told him: You can't vote for this proposal. He said: listen, I don't know, I didn't see, don't know what it says. I told him: I know, and you can't vote for it! He then instructed the secretary of state, and she did not vote for it."

There is no other head of government in the entire world who could say such words to the president of the United States. And will Olmert's successor be able to speak with Bush's successor in the same way and with a similar result?

We know the name of the next US president, but we don't know who the next Israeli prime minister will be. It looks as if it might be a choice between two steel-minded sadists, Tzipi Livni or Binyamin Netanyahu, both dedicated haters of Palestine, Palestinians and Arabs in general. So what might they be able to say to President Obama? Will they be able to pick up the phone and call him to suggest forcefully that he alter the voting intention of the United States of America in the UN Security Council? And what would he do, if they did?

Given the commitment to Israel of Mr Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, as was obvious in their groveling speeches last year to the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee, there is no guarantee that they will, either of them, ever utter a word in criticism of Israel.

There is one thing certain: the US Congress is going to continue its unconditional support for Israel, no matter what war crimes are committed by its disgusting thugs-in-uniform. The Reps need the money, after all, which they get through political action committees which are generously funded by American Jews. And they are scared to political death by the threat that pro-Israel agencies will destroy them politically if they dare say a word against Israel.

There are very few Representatives of the people of America who would dare challenge Israel, or who might possibly criticize Israel, or who have the courage to condemn atrocities committed by Israel.

***

The worst of all the barbarians who are killing children and their mothers and fathers in Gaza are the Israeli pilots who mercilessly bomb houses occupied by terrified families. And they are staunchly supported by the House of Representatives of the United States of America.

These pilots, these vile little war-gamers of the skies, these latter-day examples of what Tom Wolfe called "The Right Stuff", can zoom over towns full of traumatized children and happily heave and hurl their bombs and rockets to kill yet more Palestinian kids without the remotest chance of being shot down. How heroic; how truly gladiatorial. How contemptible. They are blood brothers with the pilots of the Nazis' Stuka ground attack aircraft of yesteryear, with their terrifying sirens, who bombed columns of fleeing refugees all round Europe.

But the US House of Representatives rushed to praise Israel, and endorse its invasion and its merciless air strikes, and committed America to a motion "Recognizing Israel's right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States' strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process."

***

Not many Americans know anything about the hideous barbarity in Gaza, because US cable networks and newspapers rarely carry pictures of disfigured blood-splashed children who have been killed, maimed or orphaned by the Israelis. But here in Europe we have access to some TV channels and newspapers that are very different from the pliant pro-Zion patsies of the major news outlets across the Atlantic.

And if US television channels carried pictures like the ones we see, there would be such outbursts of horror and indignation that even the US Congress might be forced to condemn the Israeli fascists for their barbarity. But the all-powerful Israel lobby makes sure that little of the sort will appear.

Who runs America?

The only honorable members of the House, voting against unconditional support for Israeli killing of Palestinian children, were Democrats Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Maxine Waters (California), Gwen Moore (Wisconsin), and Nick Rahall (West Virginia), along with Texas Republican Ron Paul. And Mr Kucinich put the whole case for their vote when he said

"In Gaza, the United Nations gave the Israeli army the coordinates of a UN school, and the school was then hit by Israeli tank fire, killing about 40. The UN put flags on emergency vehicles, coordinating the movements of those vehicles with the Israeli military, and the vehicles came under attack, killing emergency workers. The Israeli army evacuated 100 Palestinians to shelter, and then bombed the shelter, killing 30 people."

Blunt stuff – but it cut no ice with the 390 members of the House who voted for Israel to continue its killing.

The Israelis have killed over a thousand Palestinians, and the UN reports that at least 500 of these deaths were civilians, and that half of these were women and children. One million of Gaza's 1.5 million people have no electricity, and about 750,000 are without water. They are existing in conditions of appalling squalor and fear, with US-supplied helicopter gunships and F-16s striking at will, and tanks and artillery destroying their houses and killing their children.

Yet the House votes for Israel. And the President of the United States of America jumps to obey the Israeli prime minister. But will there be any change under Obama and Clinton?

A year ago Hillary Clinton told the American Israeli Committee that "we stand with Israel because of our shared values and our shared belief in the dignity of men and women and the right to live without fear or oppression."

Last June Barack Obama told the American Israeli Committee "Now is the time to be vigilant in facing down every foe, just as we move forward in seeking a future of peace for the children of Israel, and for all children. Now is the time to stand by Israel . . ."

Will they continue to support Israel, the country that has laid waste a land and murdered over 200 women and children?

If they do, the question must be asked: Who runs America?

Brian Cloughley's book about the Pakistan army, War, Coups and Terror, has just been published by Pen & Sword Books (UK) and will be published in the US in May by Skyhorse (New York). This article appeared in CounterPunch.org.

Holocaust Survivor Protest Israeli Massacre in Gaza

Elderly Holocaust Survivor protests Israel's response to Hamas rocket attacks. She says it's not fair since Israel is so much stronger.

What would the international community do if Hamas launched massive airstrikes against Israel, marched deep into Tel Aviv or, shelled a UN-run school building, used as a refugee camp, leaving many Israeli children dead and many more injured? What if the Israeli people had been punished by seizure and blockade simply because they had chosen a far right party or a hard-line politician in a fair and free election? What would the so-called free nations be saying had Hamas leaders, in an effort to appeal to voters, decided to continue their large offensive against Israeli civilians despite the international calls for a cease-fire? What if the media all over the world had depicted a handful of Israeli children crying over the bodies of their dead mothers?
There is much irony in this analogy, but the truth is that Israel has long been excused for every terrible atrocity it has perpetrated and continues to perpetrate. Such double standards and twisted positions that the key powers in the world are embracing nowadays are fueling the already anti-West sentiments not only in Arab and Muslim countries but also across the entire world.
Israel, according to the Western hypocritical standards, is always above the law. Throughout the past 60 years, Israel has constantly been violating the international law and the rules and principles of nations which govern the relations of nations with each other. Take the Geneva Convention for protecting civilians in times of war as an example.
Israel has committed serious war crimes by deliberately targeting civilians throughout its wars with the Arabs. So the evidence which cites Israel as being in violation of international law or human rights is enormous.
Ignoring a UN-adopted resolution and international calls for an immediate end to its recent aggression on Gaza, the Israelis are continuing their bloody operation which, until now, has claimed the lives of more than 800 innocent Palestinians (nearly all of them civilians) and injured more than 3000. Stories of deliberate killings of civilians, targeting schools and indiscriminately shelling Palestinian towns in the Gaza Strip are compelling evidence of Israels disdain and contempt for the well-crafted principles of international law. The chief objective of the current operation, as is clear from Israeli behavior so far, is to eradicate the people of Gaza entirely.
A UN-filed report has found that since the Israeli aggression on Gaza late last month, as many as 42 percent of the overall Palestinian dead are women and children. In one heartbreaking incident, the Israeli war machine shelled a UN-run school in which hundreds of Palestinians were seeking shelter.
As many as 33 innocent people, most of them women and children, were immediately killed in a cowardly and barbaric act that indicates that the Israeli army is deliberately targeting every living creature in Gaza.
The UN report has concluded that there is no safe space in the Gaza Strip no safe haven, no bomb shelters and the borders are closed and civilians have no place to flee. In a similar incident, Israeli forces evacuated many Palestinian civilians to a house in the Zaitoun district. Shortly after, the house was shelled and more than 100 civilians were instantly killed.
On the diplomatic front, Israel has expressed its disdain for a UN-adopted resolution that calls for an immediate ceasefire. Hours after the United Nations passed the resolution that calls for an end to the fighting, a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and creating passages for humanitarian aid to people there, a spokesman for the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was quoted as saying that the UN decision is not practical and is unworkable.
Despite the loss of lives in this aggression, there have been numerous rational voices heard from here and there that have condemned the Israeli barbarism in Gaza during the past 16 days.
A top Vatican official likened what the Israelis are doing in Gaza with what the Nazis did during the Second World War. Gaza, said Cardinal Renato Martino, resembles a big concentration camp. Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan president, has called the Israeli army a coward army. His government has expelled the Israeli ambassador from Caracas in protest against what the Israeli government is doing in Gaza nowadays.
Across the Arab and Muslim world, the show of solidarity with the Palestinians has never reached such a height as it has during this crisis. Just after the Israeli invasion of the Gaza Strip, thousands of protesters took to the streets, apparently shocked by the heartbreaking footage of Palestinian victims, to protest the brutality of the aggressor and the lack of response of the international community, which would have been totally different had the perpetrator not been Israel.

Slaughtered Children of Gaza and a Prayer to Jesus Christ

- II Corinthians 10:4,5 [v4 KJV & v5 NIV]
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

In the name of Jesus Christ, hear my written supplication, Oh! omniscient God of Heaven, you are righteous and holy, look what is being done in your name! look what is being mandated by those who say they serve you! and love you, your holy writ says, you are no respecter of persons, and that your sacrifice, your shed blood on the cross, your resurrection - brought down the wall of separation between Jew and Gentile. You said to Judaizers in Galatians 1:18,
For if I build again the things which I destroyed,[Mosaic Law and Covenant] I make myself a transgressor.
Oh! Lord God we are in the last days, and the people who say they love you and that you are their Lord, have been bewitched to believe falsehoods about the choseness of present Israel, and you know that the 'war on terror' is a Satanic ploy to begin persecution and war against you - for the Devil knows this is his last stand - goes about like a roaring lion looking whom to devour. Many called of your name - consent to this unconscionable barbarism. - for the sake of Esau [present day Israel] who despised his birthright. Your people are being led astray, led away by present day Judaizers. I know you are not the author of this, that which is being done in your name, open their eyes to see, open their ears to hear for they know not what they are doing. You are always on the side of the defenseless and weak, Now God I pray that you will serve justice to the usurper Synagogue of Satan in the name of Jesus Christ...... amen.

U.K. Jewish Member of Parliament Gerald Kaufmam: "Israel was born out of Jewish terrorism"

"Israel was born out of Jewish Terrorism" Tzipi Livnis Father was a Terrorist" Astonishing claims in the House of Parliament. SIR Gerald Kaufman, the veteran Labour MP, yesterday compared the actions of Israeli troops in Gaza to the Nazis who forced his family to flee Poland.

During a Commons debate on the fighting in Gaza, he urged the government to impose an arms embargo on Israel.

Sir Gerald, who was brought up as an orthodox Jew and Zionist, said: "My grandmother was ill in bed when the Nazis came to her home town a German soldier shot her dead in her bed.

"My grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian grandmothers in Gaza. The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploits the continuing guilt from gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians."

He said the claim that many of the Palestinian victims were militants "was the reply of the Nazi" and added: "I suppose the Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw ghetto could have been dismissed as militants."

He accused the Israeli government of seeking "conquest" and added: "

They are not simply war criminals, they are fools."

Gaza Is Our Guernica

By Joseph E. Fasciani

In 1937 Pablo Picasso painted Guernica, a mural, as the center piece for the Spanish Pavilion of the World's Fair in Paris. It is a bitter irony that Guernica, the most lasting monument of the exposition, is the Twentieth century's most enduring symbol of the horror of war and the inhumane use of technology. It is a portent for the terrors of the next decade. the painting is based on the events of April 27, 1937, when the German air force, in support of the fascist forces led by Generalissimo Francisco Franco, carried out a bombing raid on the Basque village of Guernica in northern Spain.

At the time such a massive bombing campaign was unprecedented. The hamlet was pounded with high-explosives and incendiary bombs for over three hours. The non-combatents townspeople included women and children were indiscriminately cut-down as they fled their crumbling buildings. The town of Guernica burned for three days leaving sixteen hundred civilians killed or wounded in its smoldering remains.

The fascist planners of the bombing campaign knew that Guernica had no strategic value as a military target, but it was a cultural and religious center for Basque identity. The devastation was intended to terrorize the population and break the spirit of the Basque resistance. In effect it was intended to "shock and awe" the Basque into submission. The bombing on Guernica was a sensation in the world press [ for such display of slaughter of civilians has never been seen in modern times]. The Times of London called it the arch-symbol of Fascist barbarity.

Let us substitute Gaza for Guernica and Palestinian for Basque and see the eerie parallels:

The Fascist Israeli planners of the bombing campaign knew that Gaza had no strategic value as a military target, but it was a cultural and religious center for Palestinian identity. The devastation was intended to terrorize the population and break the spirit of the Palestinians into submission.

That this massacre is made by the same people who scream "Holocaust!" about themselves is of course the supreme irony.

Now that the murderers of defenseless women and children are strangely transposed from the old black and white movie documentaries of the Nazis destroying Guernica or taking the Warsaw Ghetto have morphed into full-color TV journalist documentaries Israel's Defense Forces [IDF] taking Gaza, exactly as was done to them about seventy years ago.

The formerly abused become the present abuser and use the same barbaric tactics par excellent: enclose the victims, cut off food, water, and fuel; bomb ans shell one and all, set them fleeing in vain. Then move in and use all the newest weapons to maximize their deaths.

Gaza and The Revenge of Conscience

Source: guardian.co.uk Chris McGreal in Tel Aviv

- Courage to Refuse: Israeli refuseniks newspaper:
"The brutal, unprecedented violence in Gaza is shocking. The false hope that this kind of violence will bring security to Israel is all the more dangerous. We cannot stand aside while hundreds of civilians are being butchered by the IDF [Israel Defense Forces],"

- No'em Levna, First lieutentant IDF:
"Killing innocent civilians cannot be justified," he said, Nothing justifies this kind of killing. ....the hatred and anger we are planting in Gaza will rebound on us."

- Ben Mocha, IDF elite combat parachute unit:
"I joined the military believing I would be fighting "terror organisations." instead I found myself suppressing Palestinian aspirations for freedom and putting down protest of Palestinian farmers "against the incontinent theft of their lands"
" I am not a pacifist. I recognise the necessity of Israel to have a strong defensive army, ...but attacking Gaza and perpetuating occupation in not defending Israel."
"This war is likely to strengthen [the resolve of the] resisters once Israel can reflect on the scale of the killing."

- Yoni Ben Artzi, conscientious objector, nephew of Binyamin Netanyahu,
"The Israeli public is blind to the fact that hundreds of palestinians have been cut to pieces by Israeli fire power. ....it's not a war of defense. We are creating a thousand suicide bombers for the future from the brothers and sons of the dead .......we are creating more terror.

Unconditional Support of Israel is not Biblical

Acts 10:34,35
"I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism [ between Jew and Gentile] but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right."

Before the church was established and Gentiles began to be converted to Christ, many Jews supposed that God favored them over all other ethnic groups; some had a false notion that merely being Jewish was a sure sign that one was saved (Mathew 3:9; Luke 3:8; 7:30)

As an Evangelical-Pentecostal Christian minister - critical of unconditional support of Israel no matter what they do politically or military because quote; they are the chosen people of God is pure nonsense of an uncritical thinking mind. How many of us - as Christians have really examined Jewish history? history of Biblical eschatology, foundations of modern Zionism movement and their beliefs... instead of parroting what we have been taught at our congregations without giving much thought if this is so, or to historical and biblical fact.

By taking sides in the Middle East conflict - namely the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Christians in the West have made an exemption of persons ( Rom.2:11) due to misinterpretation of Bible prophecy concerning the modern state of Israel. Christians in the West have excluded and accursed people of Palestinian Arab descent (because of Arab progeny), excluded and accursed from the benefit of Christian inclusion for evangelism. Our unconditional and biased support for Israel have caused for most Arabs to repudiate our gospel message.

The Bible clearly teaches that there is no respecter of persons with God, but for Christians in the West, it is hard to realize, especially since man is often given to prejudices. Nevertheless, scripture is emphatic and replete with teaching that presents God as not judging or treating man, any man, with favoritism. In other words, God is just and equitable in His dealings with man, regardless of race, education, or location. ( Acts 10:34,35)

As Christians we may all agree that there are non-negotiables, the essentials of biblical teachings, the virgin birth, death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, this are not negotiable to be considered in God's graces, and we may be right on our expositional teachings 99% of the time, but what "if" we are wrong on that crucial 1% of our eschatology? How will God hold us accountable if we are wrong in our support of Israel? after all did'nt God come to establish a spiritual kingdom instead of a political establishment.

What Would Jesus Do? What would Jesus Say?

Mathew 5:9
"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God"

Because I still have a conscience, and even though I'm a Christian by God's grace, I protest and denounce the Evangelical Christian mandate to allow Israeli Jews to act in criminal ways with impunity against Palestinians.
What a contradiction! 'pro-life' pastors in America embrace war mongering, culture of death for the 'unchosen' Palestinian children of Gaza, all for the sake of Israel. God says in your Bible Mr. and Mrs Christian, He is no respecter of persons, so, why do you make exceptions of persons? This is where your misguided theology of Israel has taken you. You have consented to genocide. There is no denying, everything Palestinian parents taught their children about Israel has become true to the surviving children in their short lifetime.

Look at the horror, the horror, and the terror they experienced before they died. The whole creation of God screams out for justice, for what this beast-man of Israel have inflicted. I denounce you as hypocrites and I rebuke you in the Name of Jesus Christ John Hagee, Rod Parsley, Gary Bauer and all the leadership of CUFI as apostates of the Christian faith. Look at this pictures, this is not of God, this is terror of the worst kind. What would Jesus do? what would He say to you Mr. John Hagee and all the leadership of CUFI ?

I beg the question; What would Jesus do? What would Jesus say to you? - Mr. John Hagee, Rod Parsley, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), your hands are stained with the blood of this innocent children, whose only crime is being born in the wrong place, you consent for Israel's military to this indiscriminate killing, your blind and unconditional support of Israel have made them commit this crimes against defenseless children, you have made Israel's military into unconsciounable beast-man.
